Most meaningful career-related accomplishment: As chief of staff, I take pride in the work that I have done to support three superintendents-Manuel Rivera, William Cala and Jean-Claude Brizard. I continue to ensure that all of my work is dictated by what is in the best interests of our students. Additionally, upon the arrival of Mr. Brizard, I worked closely with him to implement his reorganization plan. This process helped to position us to begin the work that was essential to improving the educational experience for all students in the Rochester City School District.

What brought you to Rochester? After college, I went to work in Ithaca. Two years later, when I decided to leave that organization, a company offered me work in either Washington or Rochester. As an upstater, I chose Rochester, and I have never looked back.
Most meaningful career-related accomplishment: Career accomplishments come in both large and small packages. Certainly, leading the substantial growth of First Niagara's health and welfare consulting practice over the past five years is meaningful. But so is implementing wellness programs at client organizations where such programs have literally saved lives.
Surprising fact: I spent all of my high school and college vacation time working for a plumbing and heating contractor.

Surprising fact: Former Beatle Paul McCartney extended best wishes to my wife and I when our fist child was born in 2003. My sister had just attended an event in London and was having a conversation with him when I had phoned her to give the news of our daughter’s birth.  It was quite a thrill.
