City seeks proposals for W. Main lot

Rochester Business Journal

The city of Rochester has issued a request for proposals for the sale and development of a city-owned parking lot at 116 W. Main St.

The 1.5-acre parcel is near the intersection of West Main and North Plymouth Avenue, and presents a major development opportunity within the Inner Loop, city officials said in a statement released Tuesday.

“The development of this prominent site is highly anticipated within the downtown community,” Mayor Robert Duffy said in the statement.

The property is near Buckingham Commons in the Cascade District.

Deadline for submissions is Dec. 21. An information meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at noon in City Council Chambers.

The RFP is available at www.cityofrochester.gov/bidandrfp.aspx.
