The September recapitalization by the parent of Rochester’s Genesee Brewery Co. totaled $85 million, its lead administrative agent revealed Monday.

North American Breweries Inc. is using the credit facility to provide for working capital, capital expenditures and general corporate needs, RBS Citizens N.A. said.

Citizens is providing $30 million of the financing, it said. JPMorgan Chase Bank N.A. and M&T Bank Corp. each will provide $20 million, and First Niagara Bank will provide $15 million, the statement said.

North American Breweries announced the recapitalization in September but did not disclose the amount.

North American Breweries owns High Falls Brewing Co. LLC in Rochester, the Buffalo-based USA operations of Labatt Brewing Co. Ltd., and the license to the Seagram’s Co. Ltd.’s wine coolers and malt beverages made in Rochester.
