Constellation Brands Inc. has promoted Jay Wright to president of Constellation Wines North America effective immediately. The Victor firm also announced Jose Fernandez, CEO of Constellation Wines North America, has begun a medical leave of absence.
The North American wine organization includes Constellation Wines U.S. and Vincor Canada. Wright will continue to report to Robert Sands, Constellation Brands president and CEO.
Wright was named executive vice president and chief commercial officer of Constellation Wines U.S. in March. Prior to the post, he served as president of Vincor Canada for seven years. He has held management positions at various food and beverage companies, including Procter & Gamble Co. in Canada and Borden Foods Corp. in the United States.
