Wegmans wins top honors at Best of the Web competition

Wegmans Food Market Inc. (www.wegmans.com) won the Gold overall award Tuesday at the 2011 Rochester Business Journal Best of the Web Competition.

More than 325 people attended the event and workshop at the Rochester Plaza Hotel.

United Way of Greater Rochester Inc. (www.uwrochester.org) received the Silver award and Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance (www.fingerlakes.org) won the Bronze.

Neal Schaffer, president of California-based Windmills Marketing LLC., gave the keynote speech and talked about using social media for business. He also conducted a workshop on “Use Social Media to Drive Your Business” following the breakfast awards event.
