SUNY Geneseo, RIT named 'best buys'

Rochester Business Journal

Two area colleges are seen as “best buys” in a recent publication.

SUNY College at Geneseo and Rochester Institute of Technology were included in “The Fiske Guide to Colleges” lists 49 institutions based on quality of academic offerings in relation to cost of attendance.

For SUNY Geneseo, this is one of several years on the list and the guide highlights the college as a preferred option for students seeking the feel of a private college at the price of a public university. It adds that Geneseo “attracts high achievers from around the nation.”

RIT is described as strong in computing, art and design and engineering.

“In the city built by Kodak, photography and imaging are among tops in the nation,” the guide states. “RIT is devoted to undergraduates.”
