Rochester-based Klein Steel Service is a finalist for IndustryWeek’s 2011 Best Plants competition.
The local firm is among 16 finalists. The publication said the finalists “demonstrate strong manufacturing performances and an unwavering pursuit of continued improvement.”
Klein is a metal service center that provides metal processing and distribution.
Other finalists include La-Z-Boy Chair Co. in Tennessee and Lockheed Martin Corp.’s missiles and fire control operation in Texas.
