The Corn Hill Neighbors Association and the Rochester Regional Community Design Center have scheduled a design charrette for Saturday at the former Rochester Institute of Technology student union on Favor Street.

The charrette, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., will include business owners and others with an interest in the future prosperity of the, organizers said. The event includes a walk through the area and conversations with volunteer design professionals to plan the future of public spaces in Rochester’s first neighborhood.

Some 150 are expected to attend, organizers said. The event is free.

The neighborhood association has been working with the RRCDC on the charrette over the last 12 months. Ideas generated will be used to develop a comprehensive plan for Corn Hill.

The plan will be presented early next year, organizers said.
