Stone Construction workers join national campaign

Employees at Stone Construction Equipment Inc. are participating in a national campaign aimed at promoting American manufacturing.

Workers at the Honeoye, Ontario County, firm created a video that has been selected for A Day in the American Life website launched by the Wisconsin-based Association of Equipment Manufacturers.

The campaign encourages all New York residents to join Stone, and its employee-owners, in telling state legislators to stand up for American jobs and pass legislation that keeps the United States competitive in the global marketplace.

“Every day America’s manufacturing base—the backbone of a strong economy—keeps shrinking,” said Dennis Slater, president of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, in a statement. “These vital U.S. manufacturing jobs can be kept here at home through infrastructure investment and passage of export agreements by our elected officials.”

A Day in American Life showcases short videos from employees and business owners around the country telling their real life stories of how manufacturing impacts the national economy. To learn more about the campaign, visit www.IMakeAmerica.com.
