Xerox Corp. will begin interviewing candidates this week to staff a new call center in Webster, official said.
Over the next two years, the company expects to hire 500 people to work at the $4.3 million call center, which is to provide customer care services for one of Xerox’s clients.
Interested applicants may apply through the following ways:

- Attend a hiring fair at Building 200, Xerox Webster campus, Phillips Road on March 2 and 3, March 9 and 10, March 16 and17. The times are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Fridays; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays.
“As Xerox continues its transition to a services-led company, we’re looking for people who are great listeners and problem solvers, and who understand the importance of providing a consistently superior customer experience,” said Connie Harvey, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Xerox Commercial Services, in a statement.
Xerox employs 6,300 in the Monroe County area. The company announced this month it would eliminate some product research and engineering positions here, as part of a round of cuts companywide during the first quarter. Xerox has not said how many local cuts would occur.
