Rochester apparel company to be featured on 'Shark Tank'

ViewSport Inc., a Rochester-based sports that makes sweat-activated fitness apparel, will be featured on ABC’s “Shark Tank” on Friday.

On Shark Tank, entrepreneurs pitch their products to a panel of wealthy investors, which includes Mark Cuban, owner of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks, and Daymond John, founder of clothing brand Fubu. The investors then determine whether they want to invest in the product or not.

ViewSport was founded by CEO Benjamin Wood. The company’s apparel features inspirational phrases such as “I am the competition” that appear when the person wearing them begins to sweat.

The segment for “Shark Tank” was shot last summer. It airs at 8 p.m. on ABC’s, local WHAM-TV 13.
