Graphic Innovators Inc. has inked an agreement to become the first reseller of Eastman Kodak Co.’s Kodak Prosper S-Series Systems to customers in the Americas region.
The agreement expands an existing relationship between the two firms, Kodak said Wednesday.
Illinois-based Graphic Innovators is a global industry leader in the sale of new, remanufactured and used
web offset presses and auxiliary equipment for publishing, packaging, and commercial printing.
The Prosper systems are based on Kodak’s Stream inkjet technology. They presses are one of the key drivers being counted on by Kodak to turn around the company.
Kodak also on Wednesday announced it has signed, with Japan-based Ryobi Ltd., a worldwide statement of cooperation to provide the first fully integrated hybrid sheetfed press combining offset and digital technologies in a single system.
The agreements were announced at Drupa 2012, the massive printing industry show in Dusseldorf, Germany. It is held every four years.
