Harris Corp.’s RF Communications division has received an order valued at more than $8 million to provide the Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia with a public safety communications system to support emergency medical services across the western region of the country.

The Henrietta firm will deliver a communication system, as well as mobile and portable radios, officials said. It will provide EMS personnel with secure, reliable voice and data communications.

“Harris is providing the Ministry of Health with a proven system that will deliver high-performance communications to personnel engaged in routine or urgent emergency medical service calls,’’ said Steve Marschilok, president of RF Communications’ public safety and professional communications segment, in a statement. “We are leveraging our mission-critical communications expertise to deliver powerful capabilities that are flexible and expandable to support the Ministry’s growing requirements in the future.”
