The M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua will get $15 million, and Nicholas N. Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville will get nearly $4.7 million in state grants, officials announced Friday.

The funding, through New York’s Health Care Efficiency and Affordability Law, is meant to improve patient care, reduce costs and ensure access to quality treatment, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said.

The initiative will provide $301.1 million in state funding for 40 hospitals and nursing homes statewide, officials said.
