Rochester General Hospital has won $547,000 state grant, hospital officials said Wednesday.
The grant is to be paid out over three years with money going to pay for training of medical residents at ambulatory care sites such as diagnostic and treatment centers and physician offices. Rochester General plans to spread the training among five sites.
Awarded under the state’s Doctors Across New York program, the grant is one of 17 handed out as part of a $10.6 million funding round meant to boost the state’s ambulatory care capabilities.
