Document Security Systems Inc. has announced its largest manufacturing contract to date, valued at roughly $9 million.
DSS, which develops security and authentication products designed to prevent counterfeiting and brand fraud, said Tuesday that it had entered into a three-year agreement to manufacture packaging for an unnamed, large consumer products company.
DSS said the contract renewed and expanded an existing relationship to include product and incremental sales opportunities through August 2015.
The company said all production will take place in the Rochester area.
“This contract is an excellent example of DSS’s ability to secure larger contracts as we become established as a valuable vendor and resource,” said Patrick White, CEO of DSS, in a statement. “We continue to demonstrate our ability to service large orders from the most demanding and recognized brands worldwide.”
DSS stock (NYSE: Amex: DSS) midday was trading at $3.91 a share, down 14 cents from Tuesday’s close of $4.05.
