McAlpin ranks among top U.S. metal fabricators

McAlpin Industries Inc. has been recognized as one of the most successful U.S. metal fabricating companies, tying for 16th on The Fabricator magazine’s annual FAB 40 survey.

McAlpin was the only Rochester area company to make the list. The firm employs 165 workers and is a supplier of precision sheet metal products, assemblies and services.

The FAB 40 emphasizes the role sheet metal fabrication plays in the national economy. Companies were chosen for the list based on information they provided to the magazine, including annual sales figures.

McAlpin projects sales of $27 million, up from reported revenues of $23 million in 2011, the magazine states.

“This recognition reinforces … we are doing the right things needed to succeed during unstable economic times,” said Matt McAlpin, sales and marketing manager, in a statement. “Growing the business by identifying new opportunities and investing in the latest technology have been the keys to reaching our goals.”
