Street hockey tourney slated at Frontier Field lot

A street hockey tournament for players ages 7 to 17 is scheduled for Aug. 25 in the VIP parking lot at Frontier Field, officials announced Tuesday.

The inaugural event is being offered by the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League, the Rochester Red Wings of the International League and the Monroe County Sports Commission.

The event costs $125 per team, with up to five members per team. Each team is guaranteed three games. Registration is limited to 40 teams.

The tournament consists of five divisions, based on age.
