The East End Music Festival has released an updated schedule for Friday night, the last East End festival of the year.

The festival’s website states the event will feature one outdoor stage located in the parking lot next to Easy on East. In the past, the festival has featured four to six outdoor stages. Other musical acts will be performing inside at Easy on East, Temple Bar & Grille and Henry B’s restaurant.

Also, unlike previous festivals, organizers will not shut down East Avenue. In the past, several East Avenue business owners and tenants have expressed their displeasure with the street being closed.
 
Organizers last month began posting on the festival’s Facebook page that this could be the final year of the East End Festival, which is in its 21st year.

The posts generated significant media coverage and a strong reaction from festival goers on Facebook. However, lead-organizer John Hutchins, owner of the Downtown Fitness Club on Chestnut Street, has since said publicly that the festival will go on.
