Vibe Lounge, featuring local entertainment, is the latest addition to Village Gate on North Goodman Street.
Friday marked the grand opening of the lounge, which plans to offer jazz trios, funk/blues and neo-soul bands, officials said.
Vibe has 4,200 square feet of indoor space, along with courtyard seating. A private investment of $75,000 was used to develop the site, officials said. Ten jobs have been created.
“Vibe will be a complementary addition to the popular Village Gate location, which is a vital component of Rochester’s Neighborhood of the Arts,” said Carlos Carballada, commissioner of city neighborhood and business development for the city of Rochester, in a statement.
