1887: Acquires incorporation certificate and opens for business. Deposits total $35,515 on the first day, loans $2,600.

1889: Deposits total $192,000.

1890: Sets directors' fees at $5 per meeting attended.

1900: Orders a telephone line.

1919: Receives trust powers.

1924: Installs an alarm system.

1933-34: Forgoes paying dividends due to the Great Depression.

1935: Resumes dividends.

1948: Offers profit-sharing and pension plans to employees.

1957: Opens branch in Victor.

1967: Merges with Hamlin National Bank of Holcomb.

1974: Opens a drive-through window.

1984: Assets total $173 million.

1985: Installs ATMs.

1995: Opens branch in Pittsford.

2000: Opens branches in Honeoye, Honeoye Falls, Irondequoit, Chili and Rochester.

2006: Opens Wealth Strategies Group office in Geneva.

2011: Ranks fifth in the Rochester market with local deposits of $1.5 billion as of June 30.

2012: Celebrates 125th anniversary.
