The orders keep coming this week for Harris Corp.’s RF Communications division in Rochester. Today the unit received a $7.2 million order to supply a nation in the Middle East high-frequency manpack radios.
The undisclosed nation is acquiring the radios to provide security forces with high-performance line-of-sight and beyond-line-of-sight tactical communications, the company said.
The news follows a $10 million order RF Communications announced Tuesday to supply the Polish Ministry of National Defense with its multiband manpack radios and high-frequency manpack radios. On Monday, the firm said it had landed a $25 million order from a government in the Middle East for its tactical radios as part of a military communications modernization program.
RF Communications employs 2,200 local workers.
