RazorSharks owner bids to purchase Dome Arena

Rochester Business Journal
November 1, 2012

The majority owner of the Rochester RazorSharks professional basketball team submitted a bid this week to purchase the Dome Arena at the Fair and Expo Center and redevelop it for his Premier Basketball League team.

Severko Hrywnak, the Chicago-based owner of the RazorSharks and chairman of the PBL, made his offer Tuesday to the Monroe County Fair and Recreation Association, the non-profit that owns and operates the Henrietta facility.

The RazorSharks have played their home games at Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial since their inception in 2005. They are looking for a less-expensive location, Hrywnak said.
