Harris Beach's Buzard named chairman of ABA council

Rochester Business Journal
November 27, 2012

Harris Beach PLLC partner Vincent Buzard has been named chairman of the American Bar Association’s Council of Appellate Lawyers.

The ABA’s Council of Appellate Lawyers provides a forum for lawyers and judges to informally air issues. Its membership includes attorneys and appellate court judges.

In his new role, Buzard plans an analysis of state bar associations’ pro bono appellate programs as a first step toward developing a national model. He also intends to appoint a committee to involve and train military appellate lawyers.

Buzard, the founder and head of Harris Beach’s Appellate Litigation and Advocacy Practice Group, is a member of the ABA’s and New York  State Bar Association’s House of Delegates. He is also a former state bar association president and a onetime president of the Monroe County Bar Association.
