The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority has renewed its entrepreneur-in-residence funding to High Technology of Rochester Inc.
Under the terms of the two-year, $600,000 agreement, HTR will continue to manage statewide efforts to pair experienced business executives, called entrepreneurs-in-residence, with emerging energy-related companies to help those companies grow their business.
More than 60 energy companies in New York have received or are receiving assistance in the program, which has led to capital being raised, a rise in revenues and job creation. HTR said Monday. Participating New York energy companies have created nearly $15 million in economic impact exclusive of the NYSERDA grant funds.
“Clean energy is perhaps the emerging industry of the 21st century, yet the individual companies making the scientific and technical advances always benefit from an injection of wise business and entrepreneurial advice,” said HTR president James Senall, in a statement. “We’re pleased to be selected again by NYSERDA to continue this important program that benefits all New Yorkers.”
