PGA World Golf Hall of Fame member Tom Watson will be inducted into the Oak Hill Country Club Hill of Fame in August, officials announced Wednesday.

Watson will be inducted Aug. 7, during the 2013 PGA Championship at Oak Hill.

Founded in 1956 by John Williams, the Hill of Fame recognizes golf immortals and distinguished citizens who have enriched the American way of life, officials said in a statement.

Inductees include Oak Hill member and Wegmans LPGA Championship co-chairman Gerald Stahl, Oak Hill head professional Craig Harmon, and golfers Walter Hagen, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Annika Sorenstam.

“With 39 PGA Tour victories, including eight major championships, 14 Champions Tour wins, a winning record in Ryder Cup play, and five PGA Tour money titles, Tom Watson is one of the legends of the game,” Hill of Fame Chairman William Reeves said.
