First Niagara Financial Group Inc. said Tuesday it has added two checking options for small businesses.

The Buffalo-based bank is offering an option for companies with $250,000 or less in monthly revenue, with 200 free transactions per month, no minimum balances required and no monthly fees.

A second option for small businesses allows 500 free transactions per month, with an average daily minimum balance of $5,000 to waive the $15 monthly maintenance fee, and tiered cash handling fees including the first $50,000 per statement cycle fee.

“First Niagara recognizes the importance of small business and has developed business checking products to save small-business owners money,” said Scott Fisher, managing director of retail channels, said in a statement.
