Jackson, Bench among players for game at Frontier

Major League Baseball greats Reggie Jackson, Wade Boggs and Rickey Henderson are among those scheduled to play for the American League in the second annual Pepsi MAX Field of Dreams Game on May 18 at Frontier Field, officials announced Tuesday.

Pedro Martinez and Frank Thomas also are on the AL roster.

Johnny Bench, Trevor Hoffman, Fred McGriff, Mike Schmidt and Ozzie Smith are scheduled to play for the National League.

The matchup is to involve the two winners of the Field of Dreams promotion, including Rochester resident Johnny Perotti.

Perotti and five friends will play for the AL. Stephen Katchmark of Washington, D.C., and five friends will play for the NL.
