Adair installed as president-elect of CPAs society

Scott Adair, chief financial officer for Monroe County and for the Rochester-Genesee Regional Transportation Authority, was installed as president-elect of the board of directors of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants at its annual meeting last month,

Adair, a society member since 2000, will become president at the 2014 meeting, the society said Tuesday. He has been serving as secretary-treasurer for the organization.

A Henrietta resident, Adair is a member of the board’s executive committee and of its finance and government accounting and auditing committee, the society said.
 
He is a past president and president-elect of the society’s Rochester chapter.

Adair has been Monroe County’s CFO since August 2008.

He was county controller from 2004 to 2007 before taking a job with the Governmental Accounting Standards Board. He returned to the county in June 2008 as director of management and budget.
