Bonadio & Co. LLP moved up 10 spots to 56th on Inside Public Accounting’s list of the top 100 accounting firms in the country. Freed Maxick CPAs PC ranks 80th.
Bonadio was on track to generate $54.2 million in net revenue, up 13 percent from the year before, for its fiscal year ending in April, data compiled by the trade publication and released this month shows.
The firm tries to provide existing and potential clients with a range of accounting and consulting services, Managing Partner and CEO Thomas Bonadio said.
“We don’t strive to grow just for the sake of growth,” he said.
Bonadio & Co., based in Perinton with eight offices statewide and in Vermont, ranks first on the Rochester Business Journal’s list of accounting firms, with 81 local CPAs.
Buffalo-based Freed Maxick was projected to generate revenues of $38.7 million, up nearly 3 percent from a year ago, when it ranked 79th on the IPA list.
Freed Maxick ranks 11th on the RBJ list with 12 local CPAs.
