Kodak exec receives printing industry honor

An Eastman Kodak Co. executive was inducted over the weekend into the Soderstrom Society by the National Association for Printing Leadership.

Christopher Payne, director and vice president of marketing, commercial imaging business, was one of 15 industry members to join the ranks of the organization, Kodak officials said.

The society is named for the late Walter Soderstrom, one of the founders of NAPL. The Soderstrom Society recognizes the contributions of industry leaders, including printing company owners, equipment manufacturers, educators, journalists and consultants.

“This award is as much a recognition for Kodak as it is for me,” Payne said in a statement. “A tireless focus on our customers and what they need to accelerate their business is what has allowed us to create some of the most compelling technology in the industry.”

Payne has served in executive capacities at Kodak since joining the organization in 1999.
