President resigns from Arista Power

Rochester Business Journal
December 3, 2013

Mark Matthews has resigned as president of Arista Power Inc. for a job with another company, a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission states.

Matthews announced his resignation Nov. 27, effective Nov. 29. He left Arista to become vice president of sales and marketing at Missouri-based EaglePicher Technologies LLC, the filing shows.

EaglePicher—a supplier of specialty batteries and energy storage solutions for the defense, aerospace, medical and commercial market—announced last month it had been awarded a contract to supply its PowerPyramid energy storage product to be incorporated into Arista Power’s Power on Demand system for a large multistory building in New York City.

Matthews is to remain a member of Arista’s board of directors.

Arista CEO William Schmitz is now also president. The company makes renewable energy power management systems.
