Dynamax Imaging to add jobs in Canandaigua

Rochester Business Journal
December 17, 2013

Dynamax Imaging LLC plans to add up to 50 jobs over the next year at the SUNY College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering’s Smart System Technology & Commercialization Center in Canandaigua.

State leaders said the local job additions are due to moving some existing overseas work to the Ontario County site.

“Dynamax’s decision to invest in Rochester is yet another testament to the quality of the region’s workforce and its emerging status as a top location for businesses seeking both highly skilled workers and a welcoming environment to grow,” said Gov. Andrew Cuomo, in a statement.

Dynamax Imaging develops high-performance complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor image, known as CMOS, sensors, which are used in a range of applications, including consumer products such as HDTV camcorders and flat-panel displays; imaging and biometrics technologies in the scientific sector; and security and surveillance systems for defense applications.

In March, Dynamax Imaging announced it would install more than $3 million in high-tech equipment at the facility in Canandaigua.
