Caldwell Manufacturing acquires UK firm

Caldwell Manufacturing Co. announced Tuesday its Caldwell Hardware Ltd. operation in the United Kingdom has acquired Cotswold Architectural Products Ltd. of Cheltenham, England.

Financial details were not disclosed.

Caldwell Manufacturing leaders said the deal would expand capabilities in the U.K. market and support Caldwell’s global business. The business units will continue to operate as separate entities.

Cotswold was founded in 1974 and is a window parts manufacturer.

Rochester-based Caldwell produces window counterbalance systems and related components. It also maintains manufacturing facilities in Williamsport, Md.; Pence Springs, W.Va.; Juarez, Mexico; and Coventry, England, as well as distribution warehouses in El Paso, Texas and Alachua, Fla.
