URMC surgery chair takes COO position in Cleveland

University of Rochester Medical Center Department of Surgery Chair Jeffrey Peters M.D. has accepted a post as chief operating officer of Case Medical Center’s University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio.

Peters would begin transitioning into the University Hospitals post this month and join the Ohio hospital on a full-time basis March 1, UH officials said.

URMC has not yet named a new Department of Surgery chair, URMC spokeswoman Leslie White said.
