HCL Technologies profit, sales surge in Q2

Rochester Business Journal
January 16, 2014

HCL Technologies Ltd., an Indian firm with a local presence, reported increases in its fiscal second-quarter sales and profit Thursday.

The company reported net income of $242 million, up 39 percent from the year before. Sales were $1.32 billion, up 14 percent.

Growth in HCL Technologies top line was due, in part, to revenue across the Americas and Europe regions, the company said. It recorded 3.4 percent growth in the Americas.

HCL Technologies is a provider of information technology and consulting services. The company has more than 140 local employees.

In 2011, Xerox Corp. outsourced roughly 250 local engineering positions to HCL.
