Some 650 representatives of the New York State Association of Professional Land Surveyors will be downtown for three days beginning Wednesday for the organization’s annual convention, officials announced Tuesday.

The organization’s 55th annual conference is scheduled for the Rochester Riverside Convention Center and the Hyatt Regency Rochester, representatives of VisitRochester said. The surveyors association previously held conventions here in 2004 and 2007.

“We are looking forward to bringing our members to the Rochester area once again,” Director of Operations Amber Anderson said in a statement.

Survey-related professionals will network and discuss the latest industry trends, officials said.
