Field & Stream to open store by Marketplace Mall

Field & Stream Sporting Goods Inc. is coming to the Marketplace Mall this fall.

The store will be a freestanding 55,000-square foot building on the same lot where DSW Inc. and Furniture Fair Inc. once stood. The current space will be demolished, clearing the way for the new building to take shape behind Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc.

Field & Stream offers a selection of outdoor brands and professional services for archery equipment, fishing gear, and firearms, geared towards outdoor enthusiasts.

“Field & Stream concluded that Henrietta was the ideal location for a super-regional destination,” said Dennis Wilmot, senior vice president for Wilmorite Inc. “The mall’s substantial trade area includes a notable population of passionate hunters, anglers and campers who will greatly appreciate having this store in the Finger Lakes Region.”

Field & Stream is the first store to be announced for the redevelopment of the southwest section of the mall, including the former Bon-Ton space, company officials said.  The redevelopment is expected to bring two to three new retail and entertainment concepts, and three to four new restaurants. More announcements of area tenants will be made in the next few weeks, officials said.
