CRC Polymer Systems Inc. is moving to a vacant manufacturing facility in Sodus, Wayne County. The move is expected to add 27 jobs.

The plastics compounding company is moving into a former Garlock Sealing Technologies LLC facility that has been idle more than a decade. The company plans on extensive renovations to the site.

New York State, through Empire State Development Corp., will provide a $40,000 capital grant and up to $160,000 in performance-based Excelsior Jobs Program tax credits in return for CRC’s proposed investment and job creation commitments. Additionally, the Wayne County Industrial Development Agency has provided $120,000 in financial assistance toward the $910,000 project.

“We are excited to establish our new manufacturing and distribution facility in Sodus,” said CRC co-owners Todd Ewing and Dave Saldo, in a statement. Neither could be immediately reached for comment.

According to the CRC website, its most recent address is 140 Metro Park.

No additional details regarding the project were available.
