Digital Rochester seeks nominations for the Technology Woman of the Year Award, which is a regional award designed to recognize, celebrate and acknowledge the achievements of women in the field of technology.

Recipients of the award are encouraged to be mentors for young women, to stay in the area as technology professionals, and to contribute to the economic growth of Upstate New York.

An award breakfast to celebrate honorees will take place April 24 at Casa Larga Vineyards. The keynote speaker for the event is Maureen Berkner Boyt, founder of the Moxie Exchange Movement.

The award will recognize the recipient for her impact to the technology field, specifically in her contributions to her profession and in her contributions to advancing the status, opportunities and employment for women in the field of technology.

Nominations will be accepted through March. 7. For details on who is eligible, visit digitalrochester.com.

The 2013 Technology Woman of the Year award went to Amy Carey, director of customer services at Veramark Technologies Inc.
