Construction begins on medical office buildings

R-J Taylor General Contractors Inc., which does business as Taylor, the Builders, has broken ground on medical office buildings across from Thompson Health in Canandaigua.

Penfield-based Taylor is working with the Rochester office of T.Y. Lin International Group for design-build services, and developer Lakeside Professional Properties II LLC on the two 23,000-square-foot buildings on Parrish Street.

Construction work is underway on the first building which is estimated to cost some $2 million. The project completion date is slated for fall.

James Taylor, Taylor CEO, said the project will provide flexible space that complement’s the area’s character. Leasing is available for sites ranging from 2,000 square feet to 11,000 square feet.
