Three more headline shows have been added to the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival 13th Edition, organizers announced Tuesday.

The headline acts include Janelle Monae, Fourplay and an evening with Michael McDonald.

"This year, we will launch another nine days of 'community unity' with the powerhouse R&B vocal sensation, Janelle Monae, whose recent 'Electric Lady' release features appearances by Prince & Miguel," said John Nugent, the festival's artistic director and producer. "Her dynamic performances have brought her international recognition and an endless touring schedule around the globe."

Monae is slated to perform June 20. The contemporary jazz quartet Fourplay is scheduled to perform June 24. Michael McDonald is to perform June 25. A fan favorite, McDonald returns for his first performance at the festival in five years, organizers noted.

Tickets for the shows go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. and are available at rochesterjazz.com.
