Fairport-based Raland Technologies LLC has merged with Chicago-based Compliance Partners LLC, officials of the biotech consulting firms said Wednesday.

Now to be known as Raland Compliance Partners LLC, the merged firm’s operational headquarters is in Fairport. In addition to Raland’s Rochester-area office and Compliance Partners’ Chicago home base it also has offices in Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Pa., Lake Havasu, Az. and Rockville, Md.

As separate companies, Raland and Compliance Partners, both of which help pharmaceutical and medical-device firms move products through the regulatory process, had long worked together as partners and decided to merge as a natural evolution of its strategic partnership, Raland Compliance Partners president Bill Rader said.
