An open house to discuss the Mount Read Boulevard corridor study is scheduled for Thursday, officials announced.

Representatives and consultants from the city of Rochester’s Bureau of Architecture and Engineering will attend the meeting, which will include conceptual designs for the study area and the opportunity for feedback, officials said Thursday.

The presentation is from 6 to 8 p.m. at United Association Local 13 offices and training center at 1850 Mount Read Boulevard.

The study will result in a plan to improve Mount Read Boulevard from the Route 33 traffic circle to Stone Road, officials said. The final plan for the corridor is schedule to be released in May.

“The designs we are presenting were developed to resolve issues identified by an existing conditions analysis, the projected travel demand of that stretch of road and feedback received from residents, property owners and business owners,” said Norman Jones, Department of Environmental Services commissioner, in a statement.

“We believe the proposed designs will enhance safety for all users and improve the corridor’s functionality for its many industries.”
