Info session to focus on RTS bus stops

Rochester Business Journal
March 20, 2014

The Rochester Genesee Regional Transit Authority, as it analyzes the efficiency of its bus stops, has scheduled an information session Tuesday to detail the study.

The session is 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at RGRTA headquarters at 1372 E. Main St. Information about the Bus Stop Optimization Study will be available, including its goals, scope and schedule.

The study is designed to provide RGRTA with information to analyze bus stop locations for its Regional Transit Service subsidiary related to safety, traffic flow and service, officials said. A second information session will be scheduled for mid-May, with the public to be given the chance to provide feedback and ask questions.

Passero Associates P.C. of Rochester is conducting the study, which is funded through the Genesee Transportation Council’s Unified Planning Work Program.
