Dealership expects revenue jump from contract

Henderson Ford has been awarded a New York State Office of General Services contract for light-duty vehicles. The contract could mean some $30 million in additional revenue for the Webster dealership.

Henderson Ford president Randolph Henderson estimates some 1,500 vehicles with model years of 2014 and 2015 will be sold under the contract. It is one of eight dealerships statewide awarded the contract. It is the first time the company has been awarded the contract.

Fleet Manager Beth Hasebe said the contract reflects Henderson Ford’s commitment to the community, noting numerous organizations and non-profit agencies—including SUNY colleges, villages, towns and police departments—will benefit from purchasing vehicles through the contract.

“We are the go-to dealer for police vehicles,” she said. “It’s really exciting.”

The dealership has ordered 850 vehicles for state agencies under the contract, Hasebe said.

The contract includes all state agencies and political subdivisions and applies to passenger cars, pickup trucks, sport utility vehicles, passenger and cargo vans and law enforcement vehicles.
