Fleet Feet plans Boston Marathon sendoff party

Rochester Business Journal
April 2, 2014

Fleet Feet Sports Inc. is supporting runners—especially those running the 2014 Boston Marathon —by aligning with American Red Cross and Adidas Group LLC this month.

On April 15, the retailer plans a Boston send-off party from 2 to 8 p.m. at 155 Culver Road. The day is meant to honor the victims of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings and to support Rochester athletes running the marathon this year.

The American Red Cross will collect blood donations to be used in the Rochester area from 2 to 7 p.m. that Tuesday. All who donate will be entered into a drawing for a $250 gift card.

The event is open to the public. At 6 p.m., a free group hill workout will be hosted by Adidas.

Refreshments and raffle prizes will round out the event, as well as a discussion by David Coyne, a local runner who has completed 41 Boston Marathons.
