Lancers to join new league for next season

The Rochester Lancers and other Major Indoor Soccer League franchises will partner with franchises from the Professional Arena Soccer League for a new league beginning next season.

A formal announcement is expected May 19, following meetings among franchise owners in the two leagues May 17 and 18 in Baltimore, a statement on the PASL website states.

The new league is expected to have in the range of 20 teams in the U.S. and Mexico and will be the top indoor league in North America, the statement says. 

PASL teams include the Baltimore Blast, the San Diego Sockers and the Missouri Comets.
