A new Home2 Suites by Hilton on Jefferson Road in Henrietta has opened, officials announced Monday.

The 89-room building at 999 Jefferson Road was approved for tax breaks of $717,613 by the County of Monroe Industrial Development Agency in August 2012, with a projected community benefit of $1.1 million.

The $7.1 million project included 95 parking spaces in addition to the four-story hotel, with 19 jobs to be created.

Home2 Suites was launched in 2009, and it was the first new brand introduced by Hilton Worldwide in 20 years, the company said. It is a mid-tier, extended-stay hotel concept.
