New-vehicle sales surge in April

New-vehicle sales in Monroe County continued to improve last month, Rochester Automobile Dealers’ Association Inc. reported.

Area car dealers sold some 4,302 new vehicles in April, up nearly 17 percent from 3,690 a year ago. Sales totaled 4,254 in March. RADA does not report used-car sales.

Monroe County auto dealers have sold 14,560 new vehicles this year, up nearly 6 percent from 13,777 in the same period last year.
